This article is perfect timing. One of the most surgery holidays is fast approaching – Easter! I drive Lutz nuts every time he picks up a store-bought granola cereal. Here’s how the conversation goes:

I say, “check the label.”

He says, “it’s organic.”

I say, “they are often the worst!”

He says, “That’s crazy”!

Then we take fifteen minutes to compare the products and bam! I’m usually right. It’s not just granola but most canned goods, packaged “diet foods,” and “gluten-free” goods have so much sugar. Wait until you take the time to read what’s inside the meats you buy.

 

I’m unsure which will kill me first, the sugar or the gluten!
