Ingredients
  • 3pounds chopped tomatoesI even use the skin!
  • 2tsp himalayan salt
  • 1tsp pepper
  • 1/2tsp birch tree sugar or coconut sugar
  • 3roasted garlic toesThe roasted add a little smoky flavor.
  • 1/4cup sun dried tomatoesIn olive oil or dried in a bag work as well
  • 1/2tsp crushed rosemary
  • 1medium onion
  • 1/4cup olive oil
  • 1/4tsp paprikaAdds a deeper red color to sauce
Instructions
  1. Place all the ingredients into a large pot. Use a potato masher to squeeze some juice out of the tomatoes to prevent initial burning.
  2. After an hour use your immersion blender and purée the tomatoes. If you don’t have an immersion blender put the sauce in your blender but be careful it is hot!
  3. Continue simmering for another hour or more with the lid off. Stir ocasionally. There you go – Best sauce ever!

DSC06100Due to the length of cooking time I double the batch. I’ve even left this on low all day (6 hours) and it came out perfect! With the right combo of Italian, Mexican, Indian, African, Barbecue or what ever spices, you will have the perfect BOLD sauce for a unique meal.
